In 1988 former Militia guitarist Jesse Villegas and drummer Mike Botello, formerly of Assalant and Matrix, collaborated on a project called Awake.  This three piece was notable for its solid musicianship and progressive songwriting.  Presented here are samples from this bands 1990 release entitled 'Spiritual Warfare'.
