Corpus Christi, Texas based Devastation was criminally underrated during their three album career.  After a self financed debut release on Zombo Records in 1986, Devastation was signed to Combat Records for the release of their two subsequent albums:  Signs of Life (1989) and Idolatry (1991).  It was the strength of their 1987 'Contaminated'  demo that got the attention of Combat.  The songs on this demo would later undergo minor changes and be re-recorded for the Signs Of Life album.  Download samples from this excellent demo below.

Following the disbanding of Devastation in late 1991, vocalist Rodney Dunsmore and bassist Edward Vasquez participated in a project called Killing Machine.  They released one 7" single on colored vinyl in very limited quantities.  Side A features a track called 'In The Blood' which chronicles the band's devotion to the 'old school' of metal and how the love of music is truly a part of one's being.  The B side features a cover of 'Death Or Glory' originally performed by NWOBHM originators Holocaust.  Presented below are samples from this rare single.
