From Alabama by way of San Antonio, the progressive power metal outfit Oblivion Knight was a band with the potential to go far. The Texas connection is most evident on the self-titled demo from 1987 which features Ken Ortiz from Syrus on drums and vocalist Mike Soliz from Militia & Assalant renown. Unfortunately they only released two demos in their short lifespan.  Samples from both are available below.
