Rotting Corpse, along with Rigor Mortis, was one of the first Thrash Metal bands to emerge from the Dallas/Ft. Worth metal scene. In the late 1980's this active scene would produce such notable bands as Rigor Mortis, Gammacide, Morbid Scream, and Arcane. Download samples of their self titled 1986 demo below.

Rotting Corpse's second demo was recorded in 1987 and was entitled Fuck It, It's Only Thrash. Like the first demo, it was recorded at Pantego Sound, the recording studio owned by the father of Pantera brothers Vinnie and Darrell Abbott. Vinnie actually worked as the sound engineer on this recording. By this time, Walt had taken over vocal and rhythm guitar duties, Steve Murphy was on bass, and Louie Carrisalez (who would later play with Devastation) on drums.
Fuck It, It's Only Thrash Demo - 1987 2. Evolvement
Rotting Corpse's final demo was recorded in 1990 and was entitled Neck Breaking Fury, a very fitting name indeed. Years of playing and touring had by this time sharpened the band's craft to razor point perfection. The songs on this demo are designed to rip the skin from your skull. Returning drummer Dave Gryder adds speed, groove, and technicality to the new songs (tracks 1-3) and helps liven up re-recorded versions of two songs from the original 1986 demo (tracks 4-5).
